Niagara shaped the beginning of my career by developing my understanding of the cannabis industry from growing to government regulations. I was able to develop a well rounded set of skills and knowledge by partnering it with hands-on experience. The diverse set of classes and topics that you study, help develop an overall knowledge of plant health and the specifics of cannabis, to what the legal market is.
After experiencing career fatigue, Hailey decided to change gears and jump into the emerging cannabis industry by enrolling in the Commercial Cannabis Production program at NC. The CCP program would allow Hailey to further her passion for plants and agriculture while paving the way for a new career.
After graduating, Croswell quickly landed a job with Glasshouse Botanics at the Team Lead for flower. A few months down the road Croswell would transition into her current role as IPM/Irrigation Team Lead where she continues to grow within the organization.
Reflecting on her time at NC, Croswell fondly remembers the hands-on experiences, “I was very fortunate to take part in several tours of different facilities, help plant two outdoor grows and go to several conferences over the year. All of these experiences helped me further my knowledge while having a chance to interact with industry professionals. The professors were extremely knowledgeable and taught us very valuable information as they all work within the field themselves. What stands out the most would be the opportunity to work with Laurie at Niagara’s Cannabunker which really allowed me to gain even more practical experience for the industry.”
